Would you or someone you know like to speak in clearer English for job interviews, meetings, and/or presentations? We are running two accent modification training programs in the Chicago Loop this Fall. One program will focus solely on accent modification; the other, on accent modification and fluency building.
6-Week Accent Modification Course
During each training session, enrolled participants will:
- learn the core pronunciation features of intelligible global English (i.e., rhythm).
- engage in a variety of practice activities.
- monitor themselves and their fellow speakers-in-training.
- concentrate on typical problematic sounds for speakers of their language group.
- receive ongoing individualized feedback.
- acquire take-away techniques for continued practice between course sessions, and beyond this 6-week course.
Maximum number of training participants: 6.

September 18-October 23, 2014 Thursdays, 5:30-8:00 p.m.
October 30-December 11, 2014 (no class on November 27) Thursdays, 5:30-8:00 p.m.
Cost
$600.00. Includes initial and final assessments, six weeks (15 hours) of training, three 30-minute private telephone coaching sessions, materials, and access to a supplemental course website designed specifically for the training.
8-Week Accent Modification & Fluency-Building Course
On Mondays, we will focus solely on accent modification (see above). On Wednesdays, we will cement Monday’s training into spontaneous speech practice via presentations and role play activities.
Maximum number of training participants: 12.
